Why is this important? i see a girl doing ballet, stop outlining difference, its important we just admire the skills, and afore mentioned ellegance

and heres why in Michaela’s own words what she had to go through beig BLACK and still goes through

When she was around 8 and rehearsing for The Nutcracker, just a few days before the performance she was told, “I’m sorry, you can’t do it. America’s not ready for a black girl ballerina.”

For Michaela, “to say this to an 8-year-old is just devastating. It was terrible.”

When she was 9, a teacher told her mother: “I don’t like to put money into black dancers because they grow up and end up having big boobs and big hips.”

The dancer looked down at her petite figure and protested, “I don’t have boobs. I don’t get it.”

Instead of getting her down, “It makes me more determined,” she said. “Because I’ve been through so much, I know now that I can make it and I can help other kids who have been in really bad situations realize that they can make it too.”

This is why it is important, for little Black girls to see a black ballerina made it despite being discriminated against because of her skin color!!!

I get this question asked all the time. “How do I lose weight?” Then I tell people to take their training a little bit more seriously while eating more veggies, more lean protein, drinking more water, while staying away from fried things, soda, extra sugar etc. People usually say “Yeah but I already eat like that!” Sometimes you may THINK you eat like that but take 2 days to honestly write down what you eat. You will see that either 1. You’re eating healthy but you’re always snacking or your portions are too big or 2. You’re not eating like that. Then of course I get the people who say “Not even a cookie? But I love my cookie everyday!” Well you can have your cookie but you will have to sacrifice somewhere else. Either train even harder or eat less throughout the day. It really all depends what your goals are, WHEN and how quickly you want to get to your dream body. Struggle, sacrifice, and hard work are what it takes to get to some place great. So let yourself take on the challenge and don’t hold yourself back.

166.5 lbs on the left, 173.1 on the right 😊 birth control did make me gain at least 30 lbs within a few months but it’s finally coming off.
