Progress picture time: Picture 1 was taken May 26,2012 and picture 2 was taken today. I was still around 200lbs in the first picture and today I’m at 187lbs. I actually took this picture because of the pants I’m wearing in today’s picture.  They’re the Victoria’s Secret Yoga legging (size Large) and they’re kind of big on me.  This made me feel good since I’ve been stuck at 187 for about a month now.  The scale isn’t moving for me but this lets me know that I’m still changing scale or no scale.  Also note the clean mirror!

AFTER ONLY 24 DAYS, I’M DOWN TO 143. I LOST ANOTHER 2 POUNDS AND I’M DOWN 6 LBS. YAYYYY!!!!!!!

My Month’s Goals for May.

  1. Lose 8 lbs 
  2. Lose 3 inches off of my waist
  3. Start running at least half a mile every other day. 
  4. Work out at the gym 3 days a week. 
  5. Do 25 situps a day.
  6. Build enough strength to do 3 push ups everyday.
  7. Do muscle building exercises 5 days a week. 
  8. NO FAST FOOD FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MAY. 
  9. Limit my ice cream intake to 2 bowls of ice cream a week
  10. Eat breakfast everyday!

Overall Body Goals — May 2nd, 2012

  1. Lose 30 lbs. Current Weight: 149 lbs. Goal Weight: 119 lbs.
  2. Lose 7 inches from my waist. Current Waist Size: 30 inches. Goal Waist Size 23 inches
  3. Establish a work out schedule and STICK TO IT!!!
  4. Limit my alcohol intake to twice a month. 
  5. Get 8 - 9 hours of sleep EVERY NIGHT. 
  6. Do 100 sit ups everyday.
  7. Enroll & Attend a Yoga & Pilates class that meets at least once a week.
  8. Control my anger better by going to exercise while upset.
  9. Limit the amount fast food I eat to Happy Meal size or dollar menu size, once a week.
  10. Limit my intake on chocolate ice cream.
  11. Eat breakfast EVERYDAY!!!!
  12. Establish a meal plan with different types of recipes that I can stick to. 
  13. Stop smoking weed all together.
  14. Tone my thighs, arms, booty and stomach as well as strengthen all of the other parts of my body.

Hi guys, well as you know, I, misslala-thegreatest, is on a journey to long, healthy, natural hair, but that’s not the only thing I’m trying to get my entire body right!!

As of April 30th, 2012 I made a pledge to myself to lose 30 lbs by the end of the summer. right now I’m 5’3 & 149 lbs and that is borderline overweight. I gained 20 lbs over the course of 2 years. I’m not fat in no way but I’m on the far end from having a healthy body. I am always sleepy, I have never have any energy, and I haven’t been able to run without getting out of breath since I was 5 years old. I don’t like that my stomach isn’t flat anymore. I want strong, defined curves and muscles on my stomach and arms and thighs.  And it’s not just physical appearance as to why I want to be healthier. 

My family has all type of diseases such as diabetes, cancers, and strokes. I don’t want to follow in their foot steps by not keeping my body healthy. I don’t just want this for myself… hopefully I inspire the rest of my family to follow in my healthy body journey. 

I really just want to get in shape. NOT be a skinny stick with no curves. I want to be in shape like an athlete. 119 lbs may seem small but when you have muscles and a toned body, it will look great.

I am promising myself that I will keep going each day from this day forward. I’m not going to quit. There will be days when I don’t want to work out but one of my other goals is to love working out. I want to put my everything into this. And I’m NOT just stopping at exercise. This goes for what I eat, when I eat, how I eat. This goes for my occasional weed smoking and binge drinking. I will get my body together! By September 2nd, I will have an athletic, healthy body and I WILL weigh 119 lbs. This is my challenge to myself and I can use all of the support, love and tips you all have for me.
